Currently

Currently, I am the Visual Communications Coordinator for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Cleveland State University. In this position, my responsibilities include participating in the development of the college’s public relations, marketing, communication strategy, and tactics. My role includes developing, executing, and assessing integrated communication and marketing plans while ensuring a consistent and positive public image for the college. In addition, my responsibilities include the creation and production of the college’s communications and publications distributed both online and in print. I perform a full range of graphic/web design, art direction and production duties that support the marketing and communication needs of the college and enhance the colleges’ reputation to both external and internal communities. Furthermore, I evaluate projects and if needed work with the stakeholders to make timely adjustments to marketing and communication strategies while managing the operating budgets and time lines for these activities.

Along with the creation of a full range of communication for the College, I also worked closely with the Senior Director for CSU’s Advancement division on a wide-range of communication for philanthropic purposes. Last year, the College realized financial support exceeding one million dollars for the first time in the College’s history. [I have attached samples of the projects that were created to reach this goal.

Past Experience

My past experience includes working as the Interim Graphics Manager/Art Director for the Cuyahoga County Public Library. In this position, my main responsibilities consisted of providing graphic design concepts, layouts, production, web design and leadership to the other designers. While assisting the other designers I provided art direction and training in current trends, graphic software, and design technique. In addition, I facilitated meetings and communicated directly with the members of the library’s foundation, marketing team and graphics department. I was also responsible for project management of marketing projects so they were completed on time and in an efficient manner. Furthermore, I worked directly with the ad agencies, head of production and outside vendors to ensure the quality and timeliness of project completion while enforcing identity standards to ensure that the brand is consistent and accurate.

Other experience includes working as a Lead Production Artist/Graphic Designer at Lake Front Publications/Leisure Living Magazine. My responsibilities consisted of the development of the newspaper/magazine and web site management. During my employment at Lake Front Publication, I was promoted to the Lead Production Artist of Leisure Living Magazine, which is a subsidiary of Lake Front Publications.
